As per Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune Circular Admission Section, SPPU Reference No. 300/2023, Dated 05/12/2023

1. All Ph.D. theses submitted through Research Centres, Research Departments, and affiliated colleges of Savitribai Phule Pune University must undergo plagiarism verification, and the report must be submitted along with the thesis.
2. Earlier, plagiarism verification was carried out using Turnitin. Since 1 November 2023, the INFLIBNET Centre has implemented Drillbit-Extreme Plagiarism Detection Software as part of an initiative of the Government of India.
3. Research guides in university academic departments and recognized Research Centres shall ensure plagiarism verification through Turnitin, while research guides at affiliated research institutions shall use Drillbit-Extreme.
4. Research guides must verify the plagiarism report through their respective login accounts and submit it to the University, duly signed by all members of the Departmental Academic Integrity Panel (DAIP).
